Help our inaugural production come to life in a backyard in Nob Hill!

Dear friends, family, neighbors, and community:

This summer, we are producing the gorgeous 'Alabaster' by Audrey Cefaly in a backyard in Albuquerque's historic Nob Hill  — and we need your help to make it happen.

'Alabaster' is an intimate play about scars and healing. About whether the risks of loving another person are worth it. About how home holds us — and traps us. And ultimately, it's about the power of connection, and of art, to heal even the deepest wounds.

It's also about GOATS! Yes, goats. So we promise you'll laugh as well as cry!

Hosting it in a literal backyard feels like the only honest way to do this play. This is a play for neighbors and friends. For people willing to sit outside on a summer night and ask hard, tender questions together. To heal together, despite the tornadoes of the outside world.

So if you've ever felt trapped by grief, scarred by trauma, and healed by the heart of another human being - or, heck, by the love of an animal - please consider helping us bring this play to life. 

We need to quickly raise a minimum of $2000 (though ideally $4000) for:

• Performance license and scripts

• Airfare to fly our director in from NYC

• Backyard porta-potty (yes, really! The unglamorous heart of independent theater)

• Lighting, sound, and set materials

The cast includes Lauren Letherer, Alexis Scott, Ainara Vecchia, and Sophie Martin.

We open June 25 and run through July 3 — 6 performances, 20–30 people a night, pay what you can (suggested $5–$25). 

No-one will get turned away because of lack of funds - because we believe that art is for everyone. 

Every dollar you give goes directly into the production. 

The venue is a backyard. The cast is extraordinary. The play is ready. We want to make it for you and share it with you. We've wanted to produce this for two years. We're done waiting for the perfect conditions. We believe in the power of community to make the impossible real.
