Help our inaugural production come to life on a real-life farm

Dear friends, family, neighbors, and community:

This summer, we are producing a gorgeous, funny, heart-rending play, on a real-life farm around Albuquerque — and we need your help to make it happen.

This play (which we'll officially announce once we've secured the rights!) is an intimate play about scars and healing. About whether the risks of loving another person are worth it. About how home holds us — and traps us. And ultimately, it's about the power of connection, and of art, to heal even the deepest wounds.

It's also about GOATS! Yes, goats.

This is a play for neighbors and friends. For people willing to sit outside on a summer night and ask hard questions together. To heal together, despite the tornadoes of the outside world.

We're raising money for

— Performance license and scripts

— Backyard porta-potty (yes, really! The unglamorous heart of independent theater)

— Lighting, sound, and set materials

— The thousand other production needs that pop up (marketing, outreach)

We already raised our initial goal of $4000 (THANK YOU to all our incredible donors!). Our stretch goal of $5000 will enable us to treat our team better, and absorb unforeseen costs (ah, the beauty of indie theatre!). 

The cast includes Lauren Letherer, Alexis Scott, Ainara Vecchia, and Rhiannon Frazier.

Our director is the wonderful Juli Hendren.

We are currently planning to run 6 performances - July 30th, 31st, August 1st, then August 6th, 7th, 8th. 20–30 people a night, pay what you can (suggested $5-$25). 

And thanks to YOU, no-one will get turned away because of lack of funds - because we believe that art is for everyone. 

Every dollar you give goes directly into the production. 

The venue is a real-life organic farm. The cast is extraordinary. The play is ready. We want to make it for you and share it with you. We've wanted to produce this for two years. We're done waiting for the perfect conditions. We believe in the power of community to make the impossible real.
